Instaculture by Wayne Quilliam - NAIDOC Week 2019


Don’t miss indigenous photographer Wayne Quilliams’ ‘Instaculture’ exhibition, which features 16 stunning digital photographs highlighting the six seasons of the Aboriginal Culture.

Wayne Quilliam - one of Australia's most prolific indigenous artists - will bring 16 large-scale digital art pieces to Darling Quarter in a 24hr public art exhibition entitled Instaculture curated by aMBUSH Gallery for NAIDOC week (1 July- 7 July).

Earth, sky, fresh water and salt water scapes will highlight the six seasons of the Aboriginal culture - captured on digital camera and by drone.

Instaculture will be on display 24 hours a day at OPEN (Darling Quarter's free exhibition space) and is curated and produced by aMBUSH Gallery and presented by Darling Quarter. It will run from Monday, 1 July until Saturday, 3 August.

Additionally, free family-friendly workshops including: Didgeridoo Show, Face Painting, Song & Dance, Aboriginal Art and Storytelling run from Monday 8 to Thursday 11 July in the foyer of the Monkey Baa Theatre, hosted in partnership with the local Koomurri Aboriginal Incursions.
